Greek musician and composer of electronic, pop-rock and orchestral music, real name Evangelos Papathanassiou.
Vangelis is best known for his Oscar-winning score for the film Chariots of Fire and his musical partnership with Jon Anderson of Yes. With Anderson, Vangelis scored a No 6 hit with the 1981 single I'll Find My Way Home, among other successes.
