Post-punk, new wave Glaswegian rock band formed in 1978.
After selling more than 40 million albums worldwide, founding members and songwriters Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill are joined in the current line-up by Mel Gaynor, Andy Gillespie and Ged Grimes.
Their key releases include the formative Arista-era albums such as 'Empires and Dance', early Virgin-era albums 'Sons and Fascination', 'New Gold Dream' and 'Sparkle In The Rain' and the stadium-hits 'Alive and Kicking' and 'Don't You (Forget About Me)', the latter a No 1 smash in the US.
