"The 7th annual Malcolm Arnold Festival and the theme for this year is 'Stage and Screen', which will include the world premiere of Sir Malcolm's one act opera, 'The Dancing Master'. The weekend will include two orchestral concerts and a number of recitals and talks. Among the talks, the eminent speaker Dr Timothy Bowers will introduce the opera and we have invited young scholars to share their interests and enthusiasms on Sir Malcolm's music.
Among the recitalists will be the brilliant young clarinetist Anna Hashimoto, and percussionist Jude Carlton, who will give a performance of the very rarely played (and highly amusing) Concert piece for Percussion and Piano."
