Birmingham-based football club, based in the suburb of Aston. The club remains one of the most successful teams in British footballing history.
Notable players have included Brian Little, Andy Gray, Gordon Cowans, Eric Houghton and Dwight Yorke.
Aston Villa won the European Cup in 1982, becoming only the fourth English club to have done so.
