American jazz musician and composer from Chicago, most famous as an influential jazz drummer.
Active since the 1960s, DeJohnette has appeared on dozens of recordings. His first as leader was the 1969 album 'The DeJohnette Complex'. He has also worked with many of the jazz greats including Stan Getz, Miles Davis and John Coltrane.
