• Talented multi-instrumentalist KOBY ISRAELITE changed musical direction after encountering Romanian Gypsy stars Taraf de Haidouks. A former speed metal drummer, he took up accordion and was signed to John Zorn’s Tzadik label. His Balkan-infused music fits equally well in a jazz, blues or rock festival and was selected by Madonna for the soundtrack for her film Filth and Wisdom.
