The lead singer of Welsh band the Manic Street Preachers, James Dean Bradfield embarks on his UK tour to promote the release of his debut solo album 'The Great Western', appearing at Manchester's academy, Sheffield's Leadmill, Liverpool's Barfly (Masque) and Stoke's Sugarmill.
Sheffield-based five piece 'Bring me the Horizon' play Liverpool and Wolves.
New Zealand-based singer/ songwriter/ guitarist Bic Runga adds an extra date to her UK tour, playing the Waterside Arts Centre in Manchester, and on the singer/ songwriter vibe: Canadian Ron Sexsmith plays the Shepherds Bush Empire in November.
The Zutons add another Manchester date to their itnierary (Apollo).
On the classical front, the Philharmonia Orchestra play a series of dates at Cardiff's St David's Hall in 2007 and at the same venue will appear The Orchestra of the Welsh National Opera in November 2006 and also early 2007. Still at St David's hall, the London Philharmonic Orchestra make an appearance in February 2007.
