Unreleased Hendrix song to be auctioned
News

A song recorded by the late blues/rock guitar supremo, Jimi Hendrix is to be auctioned in October. 'Station Break' was recorded in 1966, and was co-written by producer/ musician Jerry Simon.
The open reel tape master was discovered by Jerry's widow Celeste Simon 12 years ago, but was left as she presumed the track had been released.
It turns out that Jerry was also the president of the publishing company responsible for Jimi's material at the time, but Janie Hendrix - Jimi's sister and president of company 'Experience Hendrix' - which owns the copyright to all of the recordings believes there may be copyright issues.
The tape will be sold through auction company Ocean Tomo.
