The Romanian gypsy troupe, Taraf de Haïdouks (literally "Band of Outlaws"), who could easily make Gogol Bordello pass for cheesy pop, have announced three UK dates in December!

The band will play three consecutive gigs on December 6th, 7th and 8th.

December 6th will see them take part in the All Tomorrow's Parties' "Nightmare Before Christmas" Festival, curated this year by US-alt rockers The Melvins and ex-Faith No More frontman Mike Patton, and hosted in Minehead, Somerset.

On December 7th, they will play the acoustically-blessed and perfectly-fitted London Islington venue, The Union Chapel.

They will close this festive chapter at the Bristol's St Georges concert hall on December 8th.

Since they first came to prominence, appearing in French film director Tony Gatlif's 1993 film "Latcho Drom", entirely dedicated to gypsy music, Taraf de Haïdouks (who count Johnny Depp as a fan) have released eight albums and featured in two other movies- 2001 "The Man Who Cried" by Sally Potter and "Gypsy Caravan" in 2007.
