Rolling Stones gather no moss, but make plenty of green stuff

US magazine Billboard has announced that veteran UK rock group the Rolling Stones made more touring during the first half of 2006 than any other band, making $147.3m for 45 concerts.

U2 made $73m, whilst Bon Jovi made just over $65m selling out 54 of 57 gigs.

The remainder of the top 10 consists of Billy Joel, Cirque du Soleil (Delirium), Aerosmith, Coldplay, Luis Miguel, Trans Siberian Orchestra, and Paul McCartney.
