Bryan Adams takes to the road again with his rock 'n' roll skills, distinctive vocals and blue-collar songwriting skills that have lasted for over 20 years. The Canadian icon has announced nine UK tour dates in the autumn 2008, starting from 25th October running through to 5th November. The tour is in support of his new 11th studio album, appropriately titled ‘11’ due out Monday 17th March.
Nickelback, the Canadian alternative rock band, are set to return to the UK this September. The four dates tour will cover the cities of Manchester on 15th, Sheffield on 16th, 18th Birmingham and London on 19th. The band have been nominated and won many music awards through out their career, one of which was a World Music Award in 2006 for best rock group. Their hit albums include 2001’s ‘Silver Side Up’, 2003’s ‘The Long Road’, and 2005’s ‘For All The Right Reasons’, which has sold a staggering 9 million copies to date worldwide.
Alice Cooper, the rock legend, is performing a ne-off gig on 24th July 2008 at the Motor Show Music Festival in London’s Excel arena. Cooper, whose career spans over five decades, launched his solo career back in 1975 and has had many hit albums such as ‘Welcome To My Nightmare’, ‘Alice Cooper Goes to Hell’, ‘Lace and Whiskey’ and ‘Hey Stoopid’. The American icon is due to release his 18th studio album ‘Along Came A Spider’ later this year, this will be his first release since the 2005 album ‘Dirty Diamonds’.
The Motor Show Music Festival (previously called Dock Rock) is a series of stand alone concerts running alongside the multi-award winning British International Motor Show. The festival starts from 23rd July until 3rd August, 12 nights of live music. Confirmed Acts are UB40, Status Quo, Jools Holland, Meat Loaf, Chicago, Squeeze, and Deep Purple. There are only 6000 tickets on sale per concert.
