Cheap Hotel release debut single 'New York' - out now
News
London-based trio, Cheap Hotel have recently released their debut single ‘New York’ on 7” Vinyl.
The band formed in 2006 by two ladies Ana Calvi (singer/guitar) and Ullrika Matteson (fretless bass), later joined by Gregg Braden (drums).
In the past twelve months the band have been busy touring the UK with the Pigeon Detectives, Acoustic Ladyland & Mr Hudson and the Library. They have also just been on support duties for LA’s 30 Seconds To Mars at the sold-out Hammersmith Apollo shows this February, capturing the audience with electrifying performances. Currently, the band also have their residency at The George pub in Shadwell-upon-Thames, running their own club night called ‘Pretty Vacancies’.
The new single ‘New York’ showcases Anna Calvi’s aggressively passionate voice, plus the energy and hostility of Braden’s drumming and Matteson’ bass.
