Exciting news for 2009 – critically acclaimed dance show, ‘Lord of The Dance’ is coming back to tour the UK next year, starting from 29th April and running all the way through to December.

‘Lord of The Dance’, created by the talented Irish-American dancer Michael Flatley back in 1996, has thrilled and mesmerised audiences around the world. From the moment the lights go down to the last encore, spectators are spellbound by a masterfully orchestrated combination of precision dancing, state of the art lighting and music. It has also brought the magic of Irish dance into the international arena.

The story of the show is based on Irish folklore, which is a classic tale of Good vs. Evil, expressed through the universal language of dance. As the story unfolds, it shows a mythical universe of love, danger and desire.

Although Michael no longer performs on the show, he is still very much involved in the production, to ensure that the highest standards and reputations are maintained. Michael performed his final show at Dublin's RDS arena back in 1998 on 28th June, after having been involved in 390 performances. Since then he has created and starred in two more spectacular productions: ‘Feet of Flames’ and ‘Celtic Tiger’.

There are currently two Lord of The Dance troupes touring the globe, one within North America, and one touring worldwide.

Tickets for this amazing show will go on sale from Friday 7th March 2008 at 9:00am. That’s right 2008! It shows, doesn’t it, how popular this show is?
