Qunicy Jones' lifetime achievement at BBC Jazz awards 2006
News
Quincy Jones was awarded a lifetime achievement award at BBC Jazz Awards 2006 last night - amazingly, the first ever UK honour for the legendary American Jazz musician, band leader and producer. He has produced for some of the biggest music stars in the World - across many genres, with many of his albums going on to platinum/ multi-platinum status.
Sir Michael Caine presented him with the award - the pair have been friends ever since Quincy Jones composed the music for the Italian Job in the late 60s.
