White Stuff Surf Relief Festival 2008 - surf/ music festival in Cornwall

News

The 'White Stuff Surf Relief Festival' is back for 2008 after the success of last year's event. This year's event is set for July 26th at Watergate Bay, Newquay in Cornwall - an amazing beach where 'Echo Beach' is filmed and where Jack Johnson will play in July (5th July to be precise!). The beach festival draws together live music, pro surfing and a raft of beach games for all the family, surfers and non-surfers alike to enjoy.

Music line-up for this year is yet to be confirmed. As well as the live sunset sessions on the beach, there will be a British Pro Tour surfing competition and loads more attractions. The night before the event there will be a special fundraising charity auction at a restaurant in the Bay, the money raised from which will go towards the Surf Relief UK charity.

Surf Relief UK was set up in the wake of the 2004 tsunami disaster. It has since evolved into a significant charity aiming to provide opportunities for disabled children and young people to experience the sport of surfing - both in the UK and further afield. This is a small charity achieving big things, and with the support from White Stuff, The Hotel and The Extreme Academy and Watergate Bay has made this whole day possible.

The date has been set, the event organized (well almost!) and the venue booked, so why don't you come and enjoy this fun filled day - mark your diary 26th July - Watergate Bay!
