The Big Session 2008 - Festival headliners announced

The Big Session held at De Montfort Hall and Gardens in Leicester has confirmed Steve Earle and the Oysterband as its headliners this year.

The shindig, which won the ’Greener Festival Award’ last year, will be held on Friday 13th, Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th June 2008.

Country-rock star Steve Earle, who has released several albums including ‘Guitar Town’ and ‘Washington Square Serenade’, will play at the festival along with his wife Allison Moorer, Oysterband, Seth Lakeman and Vincent Vincent and the Villians. More acts will be announced.

Previous performers include well known names such as the Levellers, Chumbawamba and Nizlopi.

Big Session is in its 4th year and has received many shining reviews from fans and critics, and is known as a ‘boutique festival’. It also prides itself on being a green, environmentally friendly festival.

Early bird tickets are available until March 1st and range from £20-55.
