Forgotten Valley Festival 2008 - a new festival for the Lake District

The countdown to the 'Forgotten Valley Festival' has begun! This is the debut of the festival and is set to take place in Westmorland Country Show Ground, Cumbria – at the edge of the breath-taking Lake District. With a 15,000 capacity, it is the biggest music event ever seen in the region spread across 3 days.

The event will have emerging artists and established artists performing over four stages. Confirmed acts for the festival year are: The Happy Mondays, Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong, New Young Pony Club, The Wombats, Crystal Castles, and Teenagers. More acts to be announced later.

Apart from great music lineup, this rock and indie festival will also have a variety of entertainment, which includes street entertainers, a children’s workshop area, the comedy tent, cinema, themed bars and healing zone.

The festival will run from Friday 23rd until Sunday 25th May and tickets are now available. Early bird weekend camping tickets are available at £80.00 if purchased before 21st February, after that they are £100.00. Extensive camping and accommodation facilities are available.
