Regular music-fans will be only too aware that the only remaining TV show worth watching, apart from the excellent late-night BBC documentaries, is Later... with Jools Holland. Even if you don't enjoy all of the artists featured on the show, you can't but help admire Holland's passion and expertise when performing with or interviewing some of the acts.

Much of his wide-eyed enjoyment began with the popular group Squeeze in the '70s, before the boogie-woogie maestro left to forge an impressive solo career. He formed his accompanying Rhythm 'n Blues Orchestra a few years later and has regularly toured and recorded with the ensemble, notching-up a few hit-albums along the way.

The latest of these long-players is 2012's "The Golden Age of Song", a 17-track collection of some of his favourite vocal collaborations drawn from studio sessions and the occasional Hootenanny appearance.

Paloma Faith, Joss Stone, Paul Weller, Mick Hucknall, Jessie J, Tom Jones, Florence Welch, Caro Emerald, Cee-Lo Green and his oft-seen guest vocalist Ruby Turner are just some of those crooning super vintage-influenced songs such as "Mad About the Boy", "Get Here", "Something's Got a Hold On Me", "Reet Petite" and "I'll Sail My Ship Alone". Perhaps one of the big draws here is the 2006 Hootenanny duet between Paul Weller and Amy Winehouse, performing "Don't Go To Strangers". It's an album worth owning.

Jools Holland and his Rhythm 'n Blues Orchestra will be performing excerpts from this and his other albums during 2013 (tickets still available for some shows), but you can get a little closer to "The Golden Age of Song" by winning one of FIVE copies of the CD!
