Beatles plaque to be unveiled in Wales

On Friday July 14, the first circular external Beatles commemorative plaque in Wales will be erected on Burtons store High Street Rhyl, Denbighshire.

The plaque celebrates 44 years to the day the Fab Four first performed in Wales, at the venue formerly known as the Regent Dansette Ballroom.

It will be unveiled at 12 midday by Mr. Brian Blakeley, Rhyl Town Mayor.

Also in attendance will members of Rhyl Town Council - co-sponsors, Denbighshire County Council, Carole Startin of North Wales Tourism Partnership, Mici Plwm plaque co-sponsor of MP Events, Beatles author Ray O'Brien, plaque designer Tony Booth, local historian Harry Thomas, and Elly Roberts.

Fans who attended the show, or any interested parties, are welcomed to the ceremony.
