Iron Maiden

It's almost Friday, which can mean only one thing – it’s that "tickets go on sale at 9AM on Friday" – feeling. Yes, indeed, and this Friday we have Iron Maiden, Girls Aloud, Alabama 3 and Mozza.

First up are "the Maiden", as we in the trade like to call them. Aeroplane pilot, fencer [my fence is falling down. Do you think he can help with that? – Ed] and occasional singer Bruce Dickinson and his boys are back in town on 5th July, playing a date at Twickenham stadium. Apparently, that is your one-and-only chance to see 'em in the UK next year.

From Maidens, to Girls aloud, who have just added extra SECC, Bournemouth and Brighton dates to their May 2008 tour.

From Girls to Boys, or should that be Boyz, or maybe it should be men as they must be knocking-ona bit now. Anyway, I digressed. US soul harmony group Boyz II Men are going II play a number of March 2008 gigz in the UK. The boyz [OK, enough "z" silliness – Ed] play dates in the Hammersmith Apollo, Birmingham’s Symphony Hall, The Sage Theatre in Gateshead and the Manchester Apollo, kicking-off at the Hammersmith Apollo on 3rd March.

From Americans in England to English people with an American sounding band playing dates in England.. ermm.. anyway, Alabama 3 have just announced their 2008 UK itinerary, which sees the Brixton octet do their blues/ country/ gospel fusion thang from 22nd until 29th April 2008.

Finally, Morrissey, who recently announced a Roundhouse residency from 21st to 27th January 2008, has just added two other 2008, taking him to Doncaster’s Dome on 30th January and Sunderland’s Empire Theatre on 1st February.

Tickets go on sale.. yep you’ve guessed it.. at 9:00AM on Friday 30th November.
