Wassup, homes? We got Canadian experimental MC/ turntablist Buck 65 coming over to do his thang next March. Buck 65 AKA Richard Terfry was recently quoted by Kerrang! Magazine as saying “I hate Hip Hop” – which is always a good way to endear yourself to the Hip Hop massive. His UK tour starts at the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth on the 19th March. Tickets on sale on Friday 30th November at 9:00AM.
Next up is Mercury-winner Dizzee Rascal, whose 2008 UK tour starts in Preston at 53 Degrees on 15th February. Dizzee (that’s Mr Rascal to you) also plays Newcastle’s academy, the Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Sheffield’s Leadmill and the Pyramid Centre in Portsmouth. Tickets on sale now.
Still on the Hip Hop tip, DJ Shadow is over in these fair shores next year – so far playing a single date at the Roundhouse with Cut Chemist. Tickets available now.
Finally, almost still on the Hip Hop vibe are Gallows [well, there was that song with Lethal Bizzle, ok? – Ed]. The scary Watford punks have just added two dates for 2008, which sees them play the Pyramid Centre and the Astoria – tickets on sale this Friday at 9:00AM.
