Foreign Beggars autumn 2012 UK tour 'postponed'

It has been announced that Foreign Beggars' autumn 2012 tour has been postponed. New dates have not yet been announced but are expected to be rescheduled for 2013.

Eyeball the names Dag Nabbit, Orifice Vulgatron and Metropolis and you could be forgiven you're reading the list of characters in another Harry Potter instalment. But rest easy - it's only your friendly British grime/hip-hop/tech-noise outfit members' monikers. And did we mention DJ Nonames? I think we just did.

Foreign Beggars are actually comprised of the last three names, with Dag Nabbit their respected in-hood producer. But try labelling the band as just hip-hop and you may get the evils. Certainly, early releases as far back as 2002 were straight high-grade hip-hop, utilizing the talents of DJ Vadim and Skinnyman, but lately they've been throwing their weight into pretty much any genre and turning it upside down. Recent collaborations have included the hit-single 'Badman Riddim', with Vato Gonzalez and the ear-splitting mergers with Noisia, including 'Contact' and 'No Holds' (complete with hilarious video of the silly Beggars 'racing' around in cartons). It's easy to see and hear that they're keen to embrace all genres (the friends spent the '90s in and out of indie, metal bands and airports before regrouping in the 21st century.
