Acid Jazz-er Andy Lewis has recently collaborated with the Modfather - Paul Weller - for a contemporary slice of northern soul with the single Are You Trying To Be Lonely?. The collaboration happened as a result of Paul Weller being handed some demos of Andy Lewis at a gig. Weller liked what he heard, so teamed-up with Lewis and Ocean Colour Scene’s Steve Cradock – though in this guise Steve is to be heard on kit rather than his usual guitar.

Lewis came to prominence initially as a DJ at Camden’s “Blow Up”, then latterly as a musician and producer in his own right.

Are You Trying To Be Lonely? was written by Lewis and Weller, with Weller handling the vocal duties. The single will be released via Acid Jazz on CD, limited edition coloured vinyl and download on Monday 10th September.
