Editors, whose latest album An End Has a Start was released last week and is sitting at the top of the UK album have announced a series of October UK dates starting in Norwich on 1st, including Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Newcastle, Sheffield, Liverpool and Nottingham.

Ash have also added a number of October dates, stretching into November, with dates in Liverpool, Bristol, Nottingham, Newcastle, Sheffield, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds and Southampton.

Quirky Australian band Architecture in Helsinki - allegedly one of Bruce Willis' fave new bands according to a recent interview - play a trio of dates (so far) in Manchester, London and Nottingham. The band play instruments as diverse as: glockenspiel, trumpet, tuba, recorder, clarinet, analogue sytnhs and the more "traditional" bass and guitar - should be a site + sound to behold.

Lastly, funky as a funkified funkster, UnkleJam (my current fave new band - but I doubt that'll get quoted anywhere, 'cos apparently I'm not as famous as Mr Willis or sumfink) are playing some headline dates in September at Liverpool's Carling Academy 2, Birmingham's Academy and the Islington Academy in London. This is alongside high profile support acts which includes Arthur Baker, Darren Emerson and Sly and the Family Stone, no less!

Current single What am I Fighting For is out now, with the eponymous debut album out in September.
