Exclusive London appearance for Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce in July

Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce - the bassist and drummer from 80s indie band The Smiths - will host an exclusive screening of the DVD Inside the Smiths at Fopp on Tottenham Court Rd on Wednesday 18th July from 6PM.
The DVD - out 16th July is an account of life in arguably the biggest indie band of the 80s - by two of the members (Rourke and Joyce). Speaking with candour, honesty and humour, they offer a unique insight into the private life of the groundbreaking band and what is was like being in a band with Morrissey & Johnny Marr.
The film - the first to be released on DVD - was produced by Manchester-based friend Stephen Petricco and includes archive photos (shot by original Smiths photographer Stephen Wright), exclusive interviews and footage of Mike and Andy today alongside in-depth interviews with the friends and fans including Peter Hook (New Order),Mark E Smith (The Fall), Pete Shelley (Buzzcocks), Ricky Wilson and Nick Hodgson (both The Kaiser Chiefs) and Preston (Ordinary Boys).
Mike Joyce:
The DVD is a very real account of what happened when we were in The Smiths. We wanted people to know what it was really like. It is more truthful than anything we have revealed in interviews before because we were relaxed with how it was done and who was doing it.
Fopp's Bath (Westgate) store will also be hosting a screening of the film from 7pm on the same day.
Limited Entry
Entry will be with a Fopp wristband only, available from the store on the day from 9am. One pair of wristbands per customer maximum, whilst they last. Wristbands will only be available from the stores where the band are appearing / screening is being held.
