American soul sensation the Reverend Al Green, is over on these shores in June and July for a number of rare UK dates.
The singer and songwriter who brought us such gems as Let's Stay Together, Tired of Being Alone, not to mention definitive versions of Take Me to the River and How Can You mend a Broken Heart starts the tour at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall on 28th June, he travels to Manchester the next day, then to Edinburgh for 2nd July, coming down to Birmingham (NIA) and London (Apollo) for 4th and 6th July.
Al Green saw a return to form in 2005, with the release of the R&B album
Tickets go on sale on Friday 2nd July.
