Influencial indie band The Charlatans are to play a special "homecoming" gig at Delamere Forest, Cheshire as part of The Forestry Commission's 2007 Forest Tours.

The band formed in Northwich, Cheshire, and were catapulted into the public eye with the funky indie track The only one I know which was a top 10 hit at the time. Debut album Some Friendly hit the top of the charts.

Last year saw the band release their ninth studio album Simpatico as well as the retrospective Forever The Singles.

The Charlatans play Delamere Forest on 15th June - tickets go on sale this friday.
