Current album chart-toppers Girls Aloud, whose The Sound of Girls Aloud - Greatest Hits was released a few weeks back have just announced UK dates next May in Nottingham, Manchester, Sheffield, Newcastle, Birmingham, London and Glasgow.
Sugababes - who also have a "best of" (Overloaded) out next week - have also just announced a 2007 tour in late spring, with dates in Nottingham, Manchester, Sheffield, Newcastle and London.
OK, enough girl bands, and onto the godfather of intelligent UK rock: Ray Davies - who doesn't have a "best of" out, but did release the album: Other People's Lives earlier this year. The multi award winning vetaran singer/ songwriter has just added two dates in York and Southampton to his May 2007 tour.
