Legendary UK rock group Led Zeppelin are to be inducted into the UK music hall of fame this year at a ceremony to be held at Alexandra Palace.

Other stars to be honoured include Beatles producer Sir George Martin, beach Boys founder Brian Wilson, Rod Stewart and the late Dusty Springfield.

Sir George Martin wil be presented with a special award for "an exceptional contribution to British music".

It is the 40th anniversary of the Beach Boys Pet Sounds and Brian Wilson will be performing live at the show.

Also performing will be Wolfmother - performing a tribute to Led Zeppelin. Joss Stone will also cover some Dusty Springfield numbers.

They join such luminaries as the Beatles, Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, The Kinks and Bob Dylan - already inducted into the hall of fame.
