Beyonce Knowles is nominated in a brace of categories for this year's MOBO awards, being nominated for the Best international female artist, best song, best video and best R'nB act. She is facing competition from the likes of Mary J Blige, Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Corinne Bailey Rae, Rihanna and Nelly Furtado.

UK acts are well represented, with the afore-mentioned Corinne Bailey Rae receiving three nominations, Kano also receiving three and each of: The Streets, Sway, Beverley Knight, Nate James, Jamelia and Alesha Dixon, Lemar also receiving nominations.

The Black Eyed Peas face-off against newcomers Gnarls Barkley, Outkast, Pussycat Dolls and The Streets in the "best group" category.

Fans should be able to cast their votes at mobo.com as of today.

The awards will be presented by comedian Gina Yashere at the Royal Albert hall on a date to be announced.
