With 2013 well under way, the festival season is continuing at an alarmingly quick rate. Early-Bird tickets are still available for some festivals, but most have now sold out, leaving you with standard tickets only. Grab these while you can by using our guide below - or face sitting at home on your own with just an iPod or record-player for company.

Strummercamp 2013
Strummercamp 2013 (24th - 26th May) Manchester's Rugby Club in Cheadle Hulme will host 'three days of liberation, music and performing arts', brought about by Joe Strummer's legacy and love of music. The Undertones, The Beat, The Men They Couldn't Hang, The Three Johns, Neville Staple and lots more similarly-minded acts will provide the entertainment with a Full Weekend ticket priced at just £65 (£15 for kids).
Slam Dunk Festival 2013
Slam Dunk Festival 2013 (24th - 29th May) Now featuring six festivals around the British Isles, Slam Dunk will now begin in Scotland on 24th, before three dates in England (Leeds - now sold out, Wolves and Hatfield), a night in Wales and a closing show in Ireland on the 29th. England features new additions in the shape of recently-announced Itch, Devil Sold His Soul, The Blackout's Gavin Butler, William Beckett, Mark Halls plus All Time Low (headlining), Four Year Strong, Sleeping with Sirens, The Skints, Pierce the Veil, We are the Ocean (no longer playing "South" - Hertfordshire), Deaf Havana, King Prawn, Me vs Hero, Kids in Glass Houses, Cancer Bats, Bury Tomorrow etc. Wales, Scotland and Ireland are headlined by Four Year Strong, The Wonder Years plus special guests throughout. Tickets for Scotland, Wales and Ireland dates start from £15 (€18 for Ireland), with the other dates costing £34 (£38 with after-party).
Dot to Dot 2013
Dot to Dot 2013 (24th - 26th May) The triple whammy of day-long events has announced headliners which include Dry the River, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and Lucy Rose. Support comes from The 1975, Chapel Club, Bo Ningen, Wave Machines, Wolf Alice, Little Green Cars and many more. Passes for each of Manchester (24th May), Bristol (25th) and Nottingham (26th) cost just £20.
OsFest 2013
OsFest 2013 (24th - 27th May) The first names for this Shropshire-based weekender have been unveiled. Saturday's entertainment includes JLS, Wiley, and Lawson, while Sunday will feature James Arthur, The Enemy, Lucy Spraggan and King Charles, with others (including local acts) to be announced. Tickets cost £69.50 for a weekender with camping, £65 without or £34.50 for day tickets.
Plymouth VolksFest 2013
Plymouth VolksFest 2013 (24th - 26th May) One of the south-west's key gatherings will once again be congregated around Newnham Park for music, comedy and VWs. Levellers and Seth Lakeman have been installed as headliners, with Alabama 3, Zion Train, Hazel O'Connor, Ruarri Joseph, Mad Dog Mcrea and several local acts as well as a new dance tent, food and trade stalls and more, as well as proud owners and their VWs. Early Bird Weekend Camping costs £60, £50 without camping or £20 per day.
Field Day 2013
Field Day 2013 (25th May) Joining Animal Collective, Bat for Lashes, Django Django, Everything Everything, F*cked Up, TNGHT, Thomas Mapfumo, Daughter etc will be Palma Violets, Solange, John Cooper Clarke, Savages and Kurt Vile as part of a very large, excellent line-up. Standard Tickets are available at £49.50 for the full day.
Love Saves The Day 2013
Love Saves The Day 2013 (25th & 26th May) After growing into a two-dayer, Chic with Nile Rodgers have been added to Sunday's line-up that also includes Julio Bashmore, Ghostpoet, Soul II Soul, DJ Derek, Ben UFO, Babyhead and more. Saturday features Bonobo, Seth Troxler, AlunaGeorge, Breakage, Crazy P, Shy FX, Eats Everything, Joy Orbison, a live set from Rudimental and many more. Lucky Saturday ticket holders can grab Sunday tickets for £15, otherwise they cost £19.50 (Saturday has sold out).
We Are FSTVL
We Are FSTVL (25th May) Late spring sees Essex come alive to the sound of dozens of dance-acts at this massive inaugural all-dayer based at Damyns Hall Aerodrome. The 2013 line-up includes Sven Väth, Ricardo Villalobos, Rudimental, Modestep, Breakage, Jaguar Skills, DJ Sneak, Monsta, Damian Lazarus, Joy Orbison, Kerri Chandler, Eats Everything, MK and dozens more. Kaya Festival 2013
Kaya Festival 2013 (25th & 26th May) The Vaynol Estate in Bangor in North Wales is the location for this two-day festival devoted to 'world music, world food and world love'. The cracking line-up leans heavily on soul, jazz, African pop, dub and hip-hop and more besides and stars Finley Quaye, Afrika Bambaataa, Soweto Kinch, Mad Professor, Talisman (reggae), Howard Marks and many more. Weekenders cost £60, while day tickets cost £35 each.
Evolution Festival 2013
Evolution Festival 2013 (26th & 27th May) Newcastle and Gatehead Quaysides will soon be hosting another Evolution during the May Bank Holiday at the end of the month. The Vaccines will headline Sunday with Ellie Goulding, Rudimental and Modestep as part of support while Paloma Faith spearheads a massive Monday with Jake Bugg, Bastille and Sub Focus backing her up. Tickets are on sale now priced at £39.50 for a bargain weekender or £29.50 per day.

Sunrise - Another World 2013
Sunrise - Another World 2013 (30th May - 2nd Jun) The Wiltshire-based eco-friendly socially-conscious festival will feature The Beat, Neville Staple, Dub Pistols, Utah Saints, The Skints, Lamb's Lou Rhodes, Youth, Krafty Kuts, Freestylers and more - tickets are on sale now, priced at £115 for the weekend, £34 for Sunday only plus £20 for the Saturday evening banquet!

Acoustic Festival of Britain 2013 (31st May - 2nd Jun) Uttoxeter Racecourse is the setting once again for what is growing into a must-see weekender. The first big names include The Proclaimers, The Christians, Baka Beyond, Miles Hunt, Martin Stephenson, The Hut People, The Quireboys, Simon Townshend, Quill and many more to come. Adult Weekend tickets £90 (no camping)/ £105 (with camping), with a Family Camping option for four costing £230.

Wychwood Festival 2013 (31st May - 2nd Jun) Cheltenham's Racecourse will again be hosting the next Wychwood in late spring with an eclectic line-up that includes The Beat, Public Service Broadcasting, Caravan Palace, The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, Eddie and the Hotrods and many more. Weekend tickets are available now priced at £120 or less for youth and child's tickets.

Crooked Ways 2013 (1st Jun) A superb line-up awaits you in Pontefract in June. The one-day shindig features The Enemy headlining plus slots from The Pigeon Detectives, Peter Hook and the Light, The D.O.T., Grandmaster Flash, Fenech-Soler, Dinosaur Pile-up, Yashin, Mallory Knox [rock], Rolo Tomassi, The Defiled, Gallops, Sam Forrest and more TBC. Bushstock Festival 2013
Bushstock Festival 2013 (1st Jun) Those lovely people at Communion have confirmed the third instalment of Bushstock and the date to remember is Saturday 1st June. Willy Mason, Theme Park, Serafina Steer, Scott Matthews, Ethan Johns, Bear's Den, Marika Hackman, Duologue, new-comer fyfe and more are all confirmed to appear at venues around the Shepherd's Bush district. Lemonfest 2013
Lemonfest 2013 (1st Jun) The line-up for the one-day music festival held at Newton Abbott Racecourse in June includes Lucy Rose, The Skints, Tall Ships, Towns, Mad Dog Mcrea, Adam Isaac and more TBC, including the dance tent and local bands. Prices start at £20 for admission or £30 with camping.
Noisy Neighbours 2013
Noisy Neighbours 2013 (1st Jun) 18 hours of dance music should keep the suburb of Clevedon busy for one day with a full-on line-up that includes Valve Soundsystem, Devlin, Tim Westwood, Cyantific, Dillinja, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Mampi Swift, MC Jakes, Ragga Twins, Harry Shotta and many more from hip-hop, d 'n' b and dubstep - tickets cost £35 for the whole event.
Happy Days Festival 2013
Happy Days Festival 2013 (1st and 2nd Jun) Based in East Molesey at Imber Court (nr Hampton Court), this decidedly soul and reggae-flavoured festival concentrates on the key names from those genres, including headliners The Fatback Band and Ali Campbell, plus Loose Ends, Jocelyn Brown and Carleen Anderson on the Saturday and Imagination featuring Leee John, Jimmy Somerville, Dawn Penn and The Real Thing on Sunday. Early Bird tickets cost £35 per day or £60 for the weekend with VIP options also available.
Eden Sessions 2013
Eden Sessions 2013 (3rd Jun - 2nd Jul) Some massive names have been chosen as headliners for Cornwall's premier series of concerts based at the iconic Eden Project. On 3rd June 2013, cross-dressing comedy champion Eddie Izzard will perform as part of his Force Majeure Tour, the Kaiser Chiefs perform on 29th June, Sigur Rós play on the 30th and The xx perform on 2nd July. Tickets for the shows cost £35 upwards.
RockNess 2013
RockNess 2013 (7th - 9th Jun) The line-up is now seriously taking shape with headliners Plan B, Example, Basement Jaxx installed, plus Madness, The Vaccines, Bombay Bicycle Club, Ben Howard, Ellie Goulding, The Maccabees, Camera Obscura, The Temper Trap, Joris Voorn, Skream, Jessie Ware and special guest Fatboy Slim among the throng. 3-Day tickets cost £130/£139, while VIP weekends cost £200/ £209.
Long Division Festival 2013
Long Division Festival 2013 (7th - 9th Jun) Wakefield's weekender returns in June with an array of established and up-and-coming acts. The Fall, Ghostpoet, Nine Black Alps, Skint & Demoralised, Howard Marks, RM Hubbert, The Spills and Ed Tudor Pole are amongst the first names out of the hat all set to play on the Saturday. The Friday will feature key evening shows and Sunday will go for the artier, comedic angle. £20 for Saturday wristbands.

The Playground Festival 2013 (7th and 8th Jun) An electronic-music festival undercover at Brixton's Academy starring Leftfield (DJ set), Digitalism, James Lavelle, Booka Shade and James Zabiela on the Friday and Squarepusher (live AV show), The Orb, Gary Numan, Vitalic, John Foxx, Pantha Du Prince, Wolfgang Flür, Derrick May, Boddika and more on Saturday. Let's Rock Bristol 2013
Let's Rock Bristol 2013 (8th Jun) Not quite 'rock', more '80s pop but still a worthy family day-out at Bristol's Blaise Castle in June. Big stars from the era include Billy Ocean, Howard Jones, ABC, Nick Heyward, Go West, The Real Thing, Modern Romance, Brother Beyond and many more to follow. Tickets for the day cost £35, kids are almost half-price at £18 and family options are also available.
The Parklife Weekender 2013
The Parklife Weekender 2013 (8th & 9th Jun) Manchester's annual bash appears to be taking on the 'big boys' with an even bigger line-up - and this year moves to Heaton Park. They've added The Temper Trap, Baauer and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (DJ set) to proceedings, alongside Plan B (Saturday headliner), Example (Sunday headliner), Rita Ora, The Maccabees, The Horrors, Jessie Ware, Johnny Marr, KRS-One, Disclosure, Rudimental Everything Everything and more across many stages. Newark Festival 2013 (14th - 16th Jun) Three days of food, drink and family-entertainment for all ages awaits you in the market town of Newark, including an evening show from Madness on the Saturday at Riverside Park - tickets for the Nutty Boys cost £35. Chester Rocks 2013 (15th and 16th Jun) Judging by the first names out of the hat, this is more like Chester Pops - The Wanted and Jessie J have been announced as headliners with support provided by Union J and Lawson respectively. All Tomorrow's Parties - curated by Deerhunter (21st - 23rd Jun) The second of two spring/ summer ATP weekends will take place at Camber Sands in June and will be governed by US alt-rockers Deerhunter, featuring a show from their offshoot project Atlas Sound. Tom Tom Club, Kim Gordon, William Basinski, Oneida (with Rhys Chatham) and Dan Deacon join The Breeders (featuring the same line-up as for 1993's 'Last Splash' - in its 20th year) Panda Bear, Pere Ubu, Stereolab's Laetitia Sadier and Tim Gane, The Black Lips and more. Mosborough Music Festival 2013 (22nd and 23rd Jun) Sheffield's Mosborough district will host this two-day festival which concentrates on local artists as well as internationally-renowned ones. Hard Rock Calling 2013
Hard Rock Calling 2013 (29th & 30th Jun) moved from Hyde Park to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for the 2013 editions. The event will feature the recently-added Dark Horses, The Weeks, Eliza and the Bear and more joining Kasabian, Paul Weller, Miles Kane, Klaxons, The Cribs and many more on the Saturday. Manchester International Festival 2013
Manchester International Festival 2013 (4th - 21st Jul) Billed as '18 extraordinary days of world premieres and special events', this huge event is the cultural jewel in Manchester's crown, covering all bases from music to theatre. To prove the point, Macbeth featuring Kenneth Branagh, The xx performing several intimate shows in residence and Massive Attack V Adam Curtis in a show that explores hallucinations, are the first big names out of the hat. Tickets on sale now, from £30.
The Hop Farm Festival 2013
The Hop Farm Festival 2013 (5th - 6th Jul) Kent's Hop Farm has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales. The event was to have featured My Bloody Valentine, Rodriguez, The Horrors, Edwyn Collins, Dinosaur Jr., Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and many more. Ticket holders should contact their point of purchase for a refund.
Love Supreme Jazz Festival 2013
Love Supreme Jazz Festival 2013 (5th - 7th Jul) Sponsored by Jazz FM and due to be staged at beautiful Glynde Place in Lewes during the height of summer is this inaugural major jazz and blues festival. Bryan Ferry heads-up the Saturday, joined by Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, Michael Kiwanuka, Marcus Miller, Robert Glasper and many more. Sunday sees Jools Holland and his Rhythm 'n Blues Orchestra who will be joined by Esperanza Spalding, Melody Gardot, The Brand New Heavies, Branford Marsalis Quartet, Terence Blanchard, Andreya Triana, Soweto Kinch, Josephine and more. Day tickets cost £54, with weekend/ camping options coming in at £108/ £120.
Mostly Jazz, Funk and Soul Festival 2013
Mostly Jazz, Funk and Soul Festival 2013 (5th - 7th Jul) Moseley Park will once again host a weekend of, well, jazz, funk and soul, featuring some of the biggest (and upcoming) acts in the field. And they don't get much bigger than Chic featuring Nile Rodgers who will headline the Saturday night, with Soul II Soul in support. Friday's line-up has yet to be announced, but Sunday will feature a slot from DJ Craig Charles. A weekend ticket costs £85, or you can plump for a day ticket for £35 - £37.
Beat-Herder Festival 2013
Beat-Herder Festival 2013 (5th - 7th Jul) Billed as "3 days of beats and barminess in lovely Lancashire" and based near Clitheroe in the rather picturesque Ribble Valley, Beat-Herder will hopefully be a bit drier this year (compared to 2012). The line-up is yet to be announced (2012 featured Orbital, Death in Vegas, Lee Scratch Perry etc) but tickets are on sale now priced at £105 (£20 for 12s and under).
The National Forest Folk Festival 2013
The National Forest Folk Festival 2013 (5th - 7th Jul) How does three days of modern and traditional folk music suit you? Ashby de la Zouch in Leicestershire is the setting and the National Forest Folk Club is the venue for a trio of days devoted to the likes of Bellowhead, Monster Ceilidh Band, Home Service, Dan Walsh, Norma Waterson, Eliza Carthy, Tír na nÓg and The Demon Barbers. Tickets cost just £16 - £25, depending on the day.
Cornbury Festival 2013
Cornbury Festival 2013 (5th - 7th Jul) There's a terrific line-up of familiar household names just announced for the family weekender held near Great Tew in Oxfordshire, including Squeeze, Keane and Van Morrison as headliners, plus Imelda May, Beverley Knight, The Overtones, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Proclaimers, Lawson, James Arthur, Amy MacDonald, Bellowhead, Seth Lakeman and lots more. Weekend Passes cost £160/ £190 while day tickets cost £70 for Friday and £80 for either Saturday or Sunday. VIP options also available.
Maverick Festival 2013
Maverick Festival 2013 (5th - 7th Jul) Based in Suffolk at Easton Farm Park, this weekender is dedicated to country and roots-music from both sides of the Atlantic. The performers confirmed for 2013 include Ruth Moody, The Good Lovelies, The Carrivick Sisters, Neil Innes and many more. To keep within the spirit of the music, you can buy Nighthawk Friday tickets for £15, Rustler Saturday tickets for £30 or Ranger/Wrangler weekenders for £45 and £69.
Live from Jodrell Bank 2013
Live from Jodrell Bank 2013 (6th Jul - 30th Aug) Sigur Rós (30th Aug) were the first name out of this year's dish-shaped hat, with New Order (7th July) and The Australian Pink Floyd Show (6th July - playing a 'Dark Side of the Moon' set) the new additions. Support for the New Order date will come from Johnny Marr, The Whip and many more. Tickets cost £39.50 for the New Order date, £35 for the others.
Kew the Music 2013
Kew the Music 2013 (9th - 14th Jul) West London's beautiful open-space has added three big shows to its roster - The Human League will be joined by '80s icon Howard Jones on the Wednesday evening, Leona Lewis will perform on Saturday (guests TBC) and folk heavyweights on the closing Sunday will feature Bellowhead and Billy Bragg. Tickets on sale now. Blondie with Hugh Cornwell will appear on the opening Tuesday, while Paul Weller (Thursday - £39.50) and Jools Holland and his Rhythm 'n Blues Orchestra (Friday - £37.50) complete the line-up.
Henley Festival 2013
Henley Festival 2013 (10th - 14th Jul) Pop on your best bib and tucker, dress to impress and charge your glasses with a vodka martini because James Bond is coming to the Henley Festival! A Bond extravaganza with Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is just part of the line-up that also includes The Beach Boys (minus Brian Wilson, Al Jardine and David Marks), Madness and Paloma Faith, plus comedy from Barry Cryer, Rich Hall, Alexander Armstrong and more. T in the Park 2013 (11th - 14th Jul) 2013 heralds the 20th year for the Balado bash, and the organisers have already named Kraftwerk, The Killers, Mumford and Sons and Rihanna as key acts and headliners. The Summer Series 2013 (11th - 21st Jul) Almost two weeks of music has been confirmed for another season at London's stunning Somerset House starting with Alex Clare on 11th July, followed by Band of Horses, Lianne La Havas, Richard Hawley, First Aid Kit, Of Monsters and Men, Tom Odell, Jessie Ware, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Goldfrapp and Basement Jaxx. Wireless Festival 2013 (12th - 14th Jul) Sunday's The Legends of the Summer with Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, A Tribe Called Quest, Nas, A$AP Rocky and Rizzle Kicks has been extended to include special guest will. i. am and Misha B - tickets are still available for the day priced at £75. Sundown Festival 2013 (30th Aug - 1st Sep) The Norfolk Showground is the setting once again for the annual Sundown gathering which features a mix of pop mammoths and dance legends. In The Woods 2013 (31st Aug - 1st Sep) Organized by the band Laurel Collective and funded by the Arts Council UK and PRSF, this Kent-based gathering in a secret and beautiful green forest 'an hour from London' promises no corporate advertising but plenty of top-quality upcoming acts. Alt-J and Stealing Sheep have played their previously. Tickets cost from £75 for the weekend (which officially starts on the Friday afternoon this year) with the line-up announced on the day of the festival.

The Big Feastival 2013 (31st Aug & 1st Sep) Once again, Oxfordshire will succumb to the pumping sounds and mouth-watering smells of Alex James and Jamie Oliver's musical food weekender. The first acts out of the hat are KT Tunstall, Basement Jaxx, Rizzle Kicks, The Feeling, Norman Jay, The Cuban Brothers and more to be announced, as well as top chefs including Mr Oliver himself. North East Calling 2013 (7th Sep) Previously touted as Durham Punk Fest, this superb rival to the North West's Rebellion punk bash is jam-packed with new-wave legends, past and present. Sham 69 [Jimmy Pursey] (with original 1977 line-up) will headline along with Steve Ignorant (and his Paranoid Visions), UK Subs, Ruts DC, The Mob [UK], Goldblade, Anti-Nowhere League and many more. The whole thing takes place under-cover at Newcastle's O2 Academy for just £27.50.

Hideout Festival 2013 (3rd - 5th Jul) Perhaps one of the first Eastern European music-festivals to announce its line-up and what a belter. The Croatia weekender will feature Loco Dice, a DJ set from Chase and Status, Modeselektor, Jamie Jones, Andy C, Joy Orbison, Erol Alkan, Toddla T, Eats Everything, Justin Martin and lots more in a similar clubbing vein. It all takes place on Zrce Beach near Pag and tickets cost £109/ £114.
The Garden Festival 2013
The Garden Festival 2013 (3rd Jul - 10th Jul) returning for its eighth year is Croatia's Garden Festival, taking place at The Garden in Tisno. The 2013 line-up is to be announced, but judging by last year's line-up (Nicolas Jaar, Crazy P, Yesking, 2020 Soundsystem, Kenny Dope and more), it should be pretty darn good. Electric Elephant 2013 (11th - 15th Jul) Croatia's coastal town of Tisno will once again be hosting a weekend of dance acts from across the globe during the summer. Sziget Festival 2013 (5th - 12th Aug) The 2013 instalment of Budapest's premier music festival offers up the first of several headliners - Blur. This will be the band's umpteenth European festival appearance, fuelling speculation they may play at a UK one. But, at £39 per Day Ticket, you might be better off flying to Hungary to see them! Their chosen day is yet to be confirmed by the organizers though, so perhaps a 5-day/full-week pass would suit you better - prices range from £145 to £170. More names TBC in due course.
