Celebrate Dr Who's 50th anniversary - win rare Space, Time and Beyond albums
In 1963, kids (and adults) up and down the land began cowering behind sofas and tables in fear of a new terrifying phenomena on their TV screens - Doctor Who and his steady supply of monstrous adversaries. The Cybermen, for example. Not exactly the friendliest of aliens.
The first series in 1963 starred William Hartnell who held onto the role for three years before Patrick Troughton began the trend for regenerating The Doctor as and when the need arose.
Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the debut of the TV show DOCTOR WHO and as a compliment to the forthcoming new series set to be transmitted from 23rd November 2013, British pop group Mankind's classic 1978 disco-hit of the Doctor Who theme has been remixed for a re-release. Featuring Diane Charlemagne (Goldie, 52nd Street, Netsky etc), the new version will form part of a bigger simultaneous album-project - which YOU could win a copy of!
The new album release, titled "Space, Time And Beyond", is a collector's dream: a translucent-blue, 11-track vinyl LP with gatefold sleeve; a poster; and a booklet featuring unpublished photos of Tom Baker from the first-ever American Doctor Who convention. Mankind's key 'Doctor Who' output will form most of the tracklist on this highly-collectable release, making it a must-have for fans of the series. A CD version with 14 tracks (due to the extra space) will be released simultaneously.
If you want to win one of three copies of the blue-vinyl album, just click on the Enter Competition button below and follow the easy-peasy instructions!
The competition ends on Friday 22nd November and we'll announce the winners on Monday 25th (to give you chance to recover from the big broadcast at the weekend). Entrants from the UK and Ireland only.
